Hello, new here.

Hi racylady.
Always nice to meet new spinners, have you read under tutorials? There is a lot of good tips to how to begin to spin.
I am not so good to write long explanation in English, are from Norway so if you see a lot of wrong spelling you know why ;)
What type of wheel have you bought? It will be easier to help you if we know the type of wheel you have.

Hi folks, I ave just purchased my first spinning wheel after seeing one in use at a local craft fair.I was hooked and determined to learn how to spin....now I am stuck lol. My wheel arrived by courier this morning and looks to be all there and intact, but i have no idea how to get going lol. I have learnt how to drop spin and have quite a good tension on the wool and also have numerous fleeces and already carded rovings? to use.My problem is just how and where do i start.
Please could some body help me ...Subject: Re:This is just weird - by: allena

What happens with R#3 is that is seems to absorb, but really just hangs out on the surface, only to wash out later. It acts REALLY weird.
If you want to use R#3 then start with a VERY small amount of acid, let it soak for 30 min, add a tea or maybe a tablespoon after 30 min to an hour and see what happens, if it doesn't get any more pink, then the red has been absorbed and yo...
