Learning to spin doesn't have to be expensive. This Learn to Spin Kit is perfect for someone who isn't sure how much they will enjoy spinning. $7 isn't a big loss if you decide it isn't for you. BUT if you do love it, then you can always upgrade to a nicer spindle or even a wheel.
I have to say, that I really like using the CD spindles for worsted weight and bulky spinning, they are perfect for it!
