tutorial topics - 2007/05/15 17:26 This is an awesome online magazine! Congratulations! I'm looking forward to many future visits.

I'd like to suggest a future tutorial topic. I'd like to learn more about washing fleece, teasing, carding, equipment, water temp, soaps, calculating crimp, etc.

All the best!

Re:tutorial topics - 2007/05/15 18:03 Thanks for the suggestion!

We (the editors) actually have a small flock of sheep that have just been sheared. We'll be sure to take lots of pictures of picking, washing, carding and what-not, and include all the info needed to get a start on this activity yourself.

Re:tutorial topics - 2007/05/23 10:30 You did seem to talk about the picking A LOT No wonder it's a bit ingrained in your brain! Fleece looks lovely at the end though www.kurrajonghandcrafts.com

Re:tutorial topics - 2007/05/23 21:59 Most people don't do all that picking, but honestly if you are hand proccessing it is very much worth it. The more you pick the cleaner your fleece will come, because the wool traps the dirt amongst itself. It is somewhat of a pain, but it gets the fleece as clean as possible. If you fall off, get back on and try again.
