Re:Tablett weaving - 2007/08/24 21:44 Hi Lille -

I've never heard of tablet weaving before, but the part about "the viking way" caught my eye. Can you tell me anything more about it? I'm very interested in learning how things were done "the old way". Also noticed you posted in another area about vikings using combs for carding - I would be interested in hearing about both! They sound like great article ideas.

Re:Tablett weaving - 2007/08/24 22:09 I haven't done tablet weaving, but for regular weaving if you use single ply yarns with the warp and weft spun opposite each other they will balance each other in the cloth. Jennifer

Re:Tablett weaving - 2007/08/27 10:24 The Something Fun article from Issue 2 is on Tablet weaving. It is also called card weaving.

You can use any very tightly spun yarn. If it is not tightly spun, the design will not show up really well.

Try it out, it's very fun!

The other tutorials are also very good, and will provide additional information.
If you fall off, get back on and try again.
