He'de be happy to wear the same things, but being the bad wife that I am, I haven't made anything for him. To be fair I never make anything for myself either. Always for the kids. I did knit myself one sock, working on the second.

I have the opposite problem... I'd knit lots for DH, but he won't wear it... I finally was able to fingerweave a scarf that he used last winter. His issue is that it has to be "conservative colors"... Translation... Grey, and only grey...

Re:WWYD with 8 oz handspun yak - 2007/08/08 23:00 My DH is small so stuff for him doesn't have to be huge, but I don't knit for him anyway. He is very finicky and has an unsurpassed talent for wearing holes in stuff with extreme speed.

Aleena I now know why you guys own sheep. It must take a whole sheep to knit a sweater for a man that tall. To fulfill his glove, sock and scarf request I think I would need to go get the fluff off three yaks.

Re:WWYD with 8 oz handspun yak - 2007/08/09 16:06 Clothes are just problematic. He's 6'5" so if I find something big enough I buy it.

One Shetland sheep might not be enough for him... Don't know lol.

No matter what it is?

Re:WWYD with 8 oz handspun yak - 2007/08/10 08:17 They don't make pink ballet skirts in his size, but I can guarantee if I found one, I would buy it.

HA HA HA HA HA that would be so funny. He would put it on and prance around doing little pas de chat around the living room. HA HA HA I'm hysterical thinking about it.

Mostly it's shirts that are so hard. The arms are two short. Literally he has like three foot long arms. So sleeves being long enough just doesn't happen regularly unless we go to the Big and Tall. Even there the majority of clothes are for the BIG and not the Tall. And it would seem that all men with 44 inch waists are only 5 feet tall. It's annoying.
