Finger-woven scarf - 2007/06/27 11:44 You said the one word that speaks to me loud and clear - TEXTURE. Knitting so far for me has been one of color choice, sheen, softness and sometimes texture, but more times than not the texture of the yarn becomes lost in the knitting. I mean real texture that stands out, that one can feel under their hand. That is one reason I changed my whole method of feltmaking over the years, for lack of texture. Everything seemed to be smooth, flat and only enhanced by the vibrant colors or silks and nubby yarns to add interest. My methods have changed tremendously. In your finger-woven scarf you can see the texture AND I'M SURE that you can feel it too, and that is what makes it unique.
