Project Ideas - 2007/05/17 00:38 Michelle and I were thinking about the felted bag article, and all the ways you could use it to make cool stuff. We originally thought maybe we would make some of it and put it up to get the ideas flowing, then we decided to just post them here, and maybe some of you might like to make them.

  • Felted wet wipe cover
Small cover for travel wipe boxes, and a matching bag that holds a diaper or two and maybe a snack.
Felted key chain with debit card holder
Felted cat toy, stuffed with cat nip.
felted cover for a small shoe box for aaccesories, jewlery or hair doo dads.
    A grocery bag dispenser.
    small trash can cover
Felted bowl for odds and ends
Felted bowl for potpourri in the bath.

  • We hope to see your projects posted soon! The open design of this pattern, makes the choices limitless.
If you fall off, get back on and try again.

Re:Project Ideas - 2007/05/17 07:58 I'm really excited about this. I just bought an iPod Nano, and was thinking about making a cover for it...AND I just started spinning, so I have a very small amount of yarn in a wide variety of thicknesses.

Re:Project Ideas - 2007/05/18 01:30 I actually knitted my creative zen player a cozy following these basic directions. I didn't felt it, because I wanted a very close fit. I think I might consider knitting the cozy a bit smaller than it should felt up and felting it by hand in a sink of hot water to get a secure tight fit. You could knit a small flap, with a buttonhole knit into it for the headphone cord and secure with a button.

    Re:Project Ideas - 2007/05/18 06:06 Michelle,
Beau has accused you of being a knitting geek, because of the little ipod cover thingy. I don't even know what an Ipod is lol. Now the funny part, BEAU accused YOU of being a knitting geek, the man who wants to make a binary scarf where the knit and purl stitches represent ones and zeros.

The world is full of hypocrites ROFL!
