We can't call ourselves homesteaders, really messmakers is most accurate lol.
You know Beau, Do I complain abut the huge robot addiction going on around here? If I trade for soap, I won't have to make my own. Thus the addiction is avoided. This is a wholesome activity, like spinning. If we don't read trashy books, and don't watch television, then we have to fill the time somewhere. What do you expect me to do clean the house in my spare time? lol Lets be realistic here, we know that isn't going to happen.
I have Sherino right now processed into roving. It is shorn off a 6 month old lamb, you would not believe how nice it is. I want to score a few colored Merinos so I can have some colored Sherino, but that will have to wait a few months, as I just bought three Shetlands.
The lavendar chamomile and lavendar mint sound very nice. I have sherino, superwash, alpaca, Shetland/Alpaca, Cotswold, Merino (white brown, dark brown) and some Black double coated Setland. This is fun stuff, the undercoat is as soft as anything you could want, and the outer coat can be added to yarn for the soles of socks for added strength. I have some of this raw.
If you fall off, get back on and try again. |
