Hurray for me! Oh, thank-you! But I must say I have never used a spindle and have no desire to. Am I kicked out of the spinners' club? I hope not! I love everything else fibery.... Do I need to send you my address? (You could get it from Tammy. :-)

I completely agree that thumbs that stick out the side are more comfortable than those that stick out the palm. Plus basic mittens with thumbs out the side can fit either hand, so you can make three and have an extra for when you lose one.

Maybe that's just me.

Congratulations Michelle!

(I'd *never* complain about getting a spindle I didn't have to make myself! But I have no doubts at all whatever you send my way will be great! Thanks so much!!)

I love the look of those finger-tip-less gloves, they seem so soft! You have a very lucky friend indeed.

I haven't knit mittens but I'm inclined to agree with the thumb out of the side. I mean that's where MY thumb is...

and congrats to Michelle!
